As I often do, I was on the internet just looking at beautiful photographs, and this picture popped up, I saved the photo, but clicked out of the site, so I’m not even sure as to where I found it. I immediate thought of my daughter, who is a designer junky, and has in a storage box inside her walk-in closet some of the shopping bags from where she has purchased handbags, clothing, wallets, jewelry, etc. and has them folded neatly in there, and of course, depending on the purchase, they are in a variety of shapes and sizes. Since we just re-decorated her bedroom, and she is very particular about how it should look now that she totally changed up the design of the room, she has one larger wall that has no artwork on it, because she hasn’t been able to find exactly what she wants. I showed this picture to her and she loved the idea. Now we will go to Michaels and buy some matching frames in white, get her favorite shopping bags and design a certain layout of how she wants it to look, I think if it’s done correctly it could be so unique and add certain flair to that wall.
I was also thinking it would be so cute for a little girls room, if you have shopping bags from Disney, or any of their favorite little girl boutiques, or even from Build-a-Bear. Just a quick weekend project that is unique and fun to make.
That is a very cute idea, one I've not seen before.

This is a really neat idea, and I love your idea about using kids themed bags, etc for a kids room. I am going to think about that for Boyd's room. Hope you are having that pineapple mojito right about now. I'm high on wine, and life tonight! :))

Sounds like you have quite a wonderful knack for decorating! I am always fascinated by people who can take a plain room and make it look fantastic with just a few small changes. Definitely a gift.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog today and leaving me such a lovely comment. I love meeting new people through blogging so thank you for saying hello:) Your fur-babies are absolutely precious! I am an animal lover, too, so I can appreciate how important they are to our families. Great idea for your daughter's room! I would love to see pictures when you are done!
Hugs,
Debbie
This is just the cutest idea ever!! I love it!! I think it will look perfect in your daughters room! You must post pics when you're finished with it!
ReplyDeleteWOW I love this idea! I have tons of bags. Now I wish I had saved the Tiffany one cause I would love to do this, too. I have others but...a reason to go to Tiffany's.
ReplyDeleteHi Joni, just dropping by for a quick hello and to say, have a great weekend! I'm getting a day "off". Kevin's mom is watching Boyd all day. Kevin is hanging out with some friends and I'm baby shopping with a friend....for her, not me. :) Have a good one!

ReplyDeleteneat project! now i need to get me some bags from prada and chanel :) I wanted to thank you for your nice comments on my blog. Believe it or not I do not have a fancy camera but I desperately want one! I have a Sony Cybershot 10.1 Megapixels that I bought about 2 or 3 years ago. I try to make the best of what I've got so for now this is what I use. I just take lots of pictures and try to get close and create frames with my pictures. I think I just get lucky sometimes and of course I live in a beautiful place. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea! I sure hope you show us the "after" photo once your daughter has everything hung. So unique!
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend was good.
Hugs,
Kat
Thank you all for the sweet comments...we actually did not get the frames yet, she is still deciding on the bags, drawing the layout on which sizes and colors to go with. I can't wait to see the final project. I will post as soon as we are finished.
