Our Christmas Decorations...
Finally finished all my Christmas decorating over the past weekend. Don't have any idea why it always takes me almost two weeks to finish...my family laughs at me each year. They can't understand why I just don't put everything up and let it go, but no, not me, always changing things until I get it just the way I want it, then I change it again...but I'm done (I think). Here are just a few areas of my home. I've started some of the shopping but our annual trip to Orlando is coming up, and I try to save most of it for there...getting very excited!!! The weather has been so cold here that I am totally in the holiday spirit. Time for the baking to begin this weekend. I look forward to that so much each year with my daughter, she is always coming up with new recipes. Though we bake cookies and other desserts, one of our favorite are homemade mini cupcakes...so yummy! What a wonderful time of year, ready to make new memories!
Beautiful! , I love ornaments in jars too. Everything looks cozy welcoming and festive. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is absolutely stunning! It looks like it belongs in a magazine or a fancy department store! I've already put up my decorations, but I haven't put up the tree yet. Maybe this weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteKatherine...thank you for the sweet comment, I really appreicate it....let's just see how long that candy stays in the jars...not long, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteLeslie...nice to hear from you again. I can only imagine how beautiful your decorations will be. Cannot wait to see them and hopefully, some beautiful pictures of Mexico over Christmas...good luck with getting that tree up, to me, that is the final touch, then the holiday can begin.
God Bless you both.
Joni
Oh Joni, I've been reading back and all your holiday decor is beautiful! I love the "mink stole" on the Champagne, so cute. My favorite post though, is the one with all the vintage Christmas ads. Boy, did they bring back some memories for me. We had one of those aluminum trees and the color wheel to light it up. Sure was easier to take down than cleaning up the Sno-flock from our earlier trees, lol.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Shellbelle...nice to hear from you again. I hope your been enjoying your adventures...seens as though you have. I know what you mean about those vintage pictures, don't they just bring back some wonderful memories. My wonderful Grandparents who raised me until I was three had the aluminum tree with color wheel...their whole home was decorated so warm and with so much love, that's what these pictures remind me of. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry CHRISTmas!!!
Your tree is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the baking so much. The best part of the holidays! You should post pictures and recipes of some of your goodies.
Nicolle...I love baking as well...just with all the shopping for my out-of-town family has set me back just a few days. My daughter has all these new cookies, and other ideas she wants to do this year, so I better have my shopping done this weekend, and start the really fun part...baking. I will try and post some of my recipes, even if it's without pictures, because my family seems to eat it before I have time to photograph it...I can't wait to see yours as well...you are so creative!!!
