After a long exhausting weekend of my husband and me redecorating my “get-a-way” room, it was back to work today. My mind keeps drifting off to the room, and how I can’t wait to complete it. We’ve been planning on doing this room for some time now and just found the time. I will post pictures at a later date to show the progress. This room is inspired by my love for Hawaii and the peacefulness of a spa. The colors are metallic brown (Ralph Lauren’s Regent Metallic’s, in Bronze Statue, though it is a beautiful deep brown with golden undertones), and one crisp white accent wall, with accent colors of teal and orchid green. Simple lines, clean crisp décor. It is almost reminiscent of “Old Hawaii” and “mid-century modern” combined ~ the best of both worlds. Over the weekend, I purchased some new flowers and herbs to plant in the garden…hopefully; this will be done this evening. I have several large ceramic pots or various sizes and colors to place throughout my backyard, it’s a tropical (organized) jungle out there, can’t wait to share it on here and get your thoughts and ideas.
